Noragami Aragoto TV Anime's October 3 Premiere Revealed

The October issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Magazine is revealing on Saturday that Noragami Aragoto, the second television anime season of the Adachitoka's Noragami manga, will premiere on Tokyo MX on October 2 at 1:05 a.m. (effectively the morning of October 3). The anime is also run on MBS on October 3 at 3:10 a.m., and on BS Fuji on October 5 at 1:00 a.m. It will then stream on Docomo's dTV service and the UULA and GYAO! streaming services on October 5 at 12:00 p.m.

The anime's official website previously streamed the anime's second promotional video in August. The video previews THE ORAL CIGARETTES' opening theme song "Kyōran Hey Kids!!" (Fury Hey Kids!!).


The second season will adapt the manga's popular Bishamon arc and will reunite the staff and cast from the first season based on Adachitoka's manga:

THE ORAL CIGARETTES will perform the opening theme "Kyōran Hey Kids!!" (Fury Hey Kids!!), while Tia (Noragami ending theme, Captain Earth second ending theme) will perform the ending theme song, but the song's title has not yet been revealed.

Additionally, new cast members include Hisako Tōjō as Aiha, Takanori Hoshino as Kugaha, and Ryotaro Okiayu as Ebisu.


Funimation streamed the first season as it aired in Japan last year, and it describes the story:
Yato may just be a minor god now, but he's determined to make it big and he's got a plan. Unfortunately, things just don't seem to be going his way. He doesn't have asingle shrine dedicated to him, his partner has just quit, and now he's got to find a new divine weapon. Just when things look bleak, he meets a girl named Hiyori and changes her life forever.

Funimation released the first season's DVD and Blu-ray Disc release in North America on July 7.Kodansha Comics published the sixth manga volume in North America on August 18.

The manga also inspiring two anime DVDs that will ship with the 15th and 16th compiled manga volumes when they ship on November 17 and March 17, respectively. The limited editions of the 10th and 11th volumes of the manga also each bundled an anime DVD when they shipped in February 2014 and July 2014, respectively.

The first season will ship in a Blu-ray box set in Japan on September 25.
